Ammonia Plant

The Port of Sagunto is situated at approx. 25 kms. North of Valencia city and comes under the responsability of the Port Authority of Valencia since 1.985.

• The Owners of the Plant are Fertiberia, S.A. this Company under concession from the Port Authority of Valencia.
• There is only one berth for loading/discharging of Liquid Ammonia with an length overall of 170 meters.

New details for Berthing/Discharging operations:

In order vessels forward do not overpass dock corner which means some meters outside the port in the channel, it is necessary to use pipes from shore manifold to vessel connection. They are installed on deck on riders.

It is made by four sections of 5 meters each connected, by pipe-hangers ASTMA 350. The diameter is DN 200 mm.

All this means that two hours minimum are necessary since starting connection operations till start discharging and since completion to disconnection.
